Belfast Albinism Family Event

Albinism Fellowship and RNIB NI are pleased to invite you to our Belfast Family Event for children and young people with Albinism and their families. This is an opportunity to meet other families and share experiences with fun activities for all ages. 

Programme

10:30 – 11:00 – Arrival & Registration

11:00 – 11:30 – Explore exhibits.

11.30 - 12.15 - Lost Planet soft play area (for children aged 3 to 11). 

Exploration is everything In the Lost Planet! Children are encouraged to discover fun facts about the universe as they step into The Lost Planet and morph into space explorers! 

12.30 - 1.15 - Lunch – Bring your lunch to Level 4 picnic area

- Short talk with Stephen Porter – Senior Qualified Teacher of children and young people with Vision Impairment (QTVI) in the Education Authority about his role and living with Albinism.

- Update from Rosaleen Dempsey (Albinism Fellowship Trustee) about the Albinism Fellowship activities and how you can get involved.

You can bring your own packed lunch or there is a cafeteria at W5.  After lunch and talks, families have free time to explore all what W5 have to offer.  The W5 exhibition visit is self-guided. Two re imagined exhibition floors will excite and inspire with exhibits and experiences covering everything from climate change and nature to film and tv production, optical illusions, built engineering, medical science and much, much more. 2.30 - Close

Albinism Fellowship and RNIB staff will be available until 2.30pm. However, families are more than welcome to stay after this time to enjoy W5 at their leisure.
